As the final months of the 2020-2021 school year get closer, the USD 394 school board has decided on a calendar for the upcoming school year.

The board had two options to vote on and there were some minor differences regarding breaks and holidays. This year, Calendar B was the winner. The main differences between the two calendars: Calendar A would have had Christmas Break start on Dec. 22, as opposed to Calendar B, where the break was to start on the 18th of December and go through Jan. 3. Calendar A also had April 1 and 4 off, as Calendar B did not.

Next fall, the first day of school will be Aug. 11. Fall conferences will be Oct. 25-28. In the spring of 2022, winter conferences will be Feb 8-11 and spring break will be from March 14-18. Graduation will be on May 15, and the last day of classes will be May 18.

In-services of the next school year will be on Aug. 9, Sep. 27, Jan. 17 and April 25.
