The Rocket boys soccer team defeated Coffeyville on August 30th at Rose Hill District Stadium.
“In my opinion, I think we dominated the whole game. We really kept them on their toes the whole game and that’s how we mercy ruled them in the 2nd half,” Herrera said.
The Rockets had eight goals three of them coming from Joshua Herrera, one by Jordy Kaba, one by Luke Anderson and one by Caden Davis.
The game was called with 16 minutes left in the second half due to the new KSHSAA rules.
“I feel like our team chemistry was on point because we had so many assists that led up to 8 goals. Our commitment to the game has really pushed a lot since last year and we have something to prove to many people this year,” Herrera said.
Up next for the Rockets is an away game at Salina South on Tuesday Sept.3.
