Randall Allison was recently hired as the new Academic Advisor at Rose Hill High School. Allison has been teaching mathematics at the school for the past two years. Allison had been teaching math for ten years before deciding to take on this new position.
“I’m ready to move on to a new skill set that I’m going to try and master and do really well at.” Allison stated. “It’s not the easiest thing to transition positions, but I’m really excited to learn something new and to help kids grow.”
While Allison loves teaching, he wants to move on to something when he can see the students all the time and not just for one year and then they are gone.
“I get to help them achieve goals outside of a math classroom and really help them grow.”
Allison has taught at many different places before settling down in Rose Hill and plans to stay here for a while. He stated while he never planned to go into administration, he realized he can make much more of a difference for the students.
“I’ve had the privilege of working under Mr. Welch for a couple years now,” Allison stated. “I think I’ve learned enough that I can step into his big shoes and fill them.”
