Megan Demel was recently hired as the new business teacher, taking over for Bill Wright, who retired last spring. 

Demel previously taught at Hutchinson High School and worked in agriculture before moving to Rose Hill. 

She will take over the Rocket Athletics website, which Demel stated she will not make many changes until she fully understands the site.

“I don’t think I am going to make very many changes to Rocket Athletics,” Demel said. “Until I fully grasp each element of the site and what parts are important to the site’s users.”

As for the rest of the school year, Demel hopes to play more interactive games in her classes to invite students to learn. Demel also said she will be introducing a Mock Trial to her Business and Personal Law class so her students can learn what a court of law is truly like.

“I can’t wait to get to watch some games and have one of my classes put on a Mock Trial,” Demel said.

Demel said Rose Hill has already made her feel very welcome with their kindness.

 “I love being here at Rose Hill, everyone has been quite helpful and great about answering questions,” Demel said.
