Every year, Stuco throws their annual 12 Days of Christmas to commemorate the end of the first semester before Christmas break. It started December 5th and ends December 20th on the last day of the fall semester. The days include; jingle bells, ugly sweater, white out, Christmas card, Christmas character, red and green, Grinch, Santa hat, Hawaiian Christmas, white elephant, Polar Express, and Christmas socks.
“Having the students participate in fun days like these, makes all the difference to the end the semester and with finals coming up,” Stuco Advisor Mrs. Evans said. “It can really boost their excitement especially with the stress of finals.”
Along with 12 Days of Christmas, students also participated in Can-a-Teacher. Every student had an opportunity to skip Team Time on December 11th if they raised 75 points by donating items to their respective teacher. Each grade had certain items they could donate worth one point with some items being worth more.
“We earned so much this year from the students,” Evans said. “We know many people will appreciate everything.”
The winning class, besides getting Team Time off, also gets a pizza lunch. Mrs. Dunphy’s class was the class who raised the most points by raising 322 points. Many other teachers also raised the goal of 75 points and earned Team Time off.
“Seeing how much was donated and how much effort the students put in really means everything,” Student Council President Jonah Lemasters said.
