The city of Rose Hill is working with the Rose Hill Recreational Board to better our parks and playgrounds.
“I want to point out that the Recreation Commission is fostering a relationship with the city to develop a parks plan in order to bring amenities or improvements to existing parks,” Ryan Hill said.
Once the new fields are complete at the high school, the Rose Hill School District will join the cause and work with the city and the Recreational Board to incorporate our facilities and theirs to improve the community.
“RHRC looks to foster a similar relationship with the School District to find avenues where we can be in aid of the newly passed bond issue,” Hill stated.
Because all these new projects and ideas are from the city and for the community, RHRC and the city are going to continue working and a goal is to get input from the community on what people are looking for.
“The goal is for the RHRC and City to continue these workshops and identify some feasible projects and get buy-in from the community,” Hill said.
The city is trying to keep the ball rolling on successes, and keeping the momentum going with good projects that improve the peoples day to day lives and safety.
At the most recent City Council meeting, Jason Steadman, Director of Rose Hill Recreation Commission, discussed various issues that the organizations could work together and the past success including the School Street pond lighting project, equipment purchases, and athletic field maintenance.
The Recreation Commission is working to make beneficial improvements and keep the people happy, while also improving the city facilities.
“As a Rec Commission the hope is to have all the levied tax initiates to work in cohesion to remain fiscally responsible to the community and bring beneficial improvements to our constituents,” Hill stated.
