Jill Gunter is a new full time sub at Rose Hill High School and she said she has loved being a full time sub so far.
“Taking on the role as full time sub has been a lot of fun,” Gunter said.
Gunter said she loves working with the students and staff, and everyone is very smart and talented.
“The students and staff at RHHS are wonderful to work with,” Gunter said. “I enjoy getting to know you all. The staff is very helpful and supportive. I’m grateful to work alongside such a strong team. The students have an impressive variety of skills, talents and personalities. What an incredible group of individuals! It’s an honor to work with you each day.”
Gunter said she loves hard work all the students put in, and seeing how confident they are is the best.
“My favorite part of my job is seeing students take pride and ownership in their work,” Gunter said. “Whether it’s in a class, sport, or extracurricular activity; watching them find joy and confidence in their work is hands down the best.”
According to Gunter a challenging part of her job is having to give kids consequences and being disrupted but, she said it hasn’t been an everyday problem.
“The most challenging part of my job is when class has to be interrupted to deal with a discipline problem,” Gunter said. “Thankfully, it hasn’t been a common occurrence.”
