If you were to ask a kid if they wanted to get out of school, they would most likely say yes.
If you were to ask them if they wanted to play in the snow, most of them would probably say yes.
Now put both of those things together and you have a little kid’s dream day; getting off school and playing in the snow.
As you grow older snow days can look a little different, sometimes they can get less magical, but sometimes they are amazing in different ways.
High school can be very stressful with all of the tests, assignments, clubs, sports and all the other things it offers.
For some high school students a snow day can mean a day away from all of the stress.
On a snow day everything is put on pause. You have the freedom to do whatever you need to do.
Whether you need to relax and watch a movie, or maybe you missed school, now you have an entire day to get school work finished.
Personally my favorite thing to do on a snowy day is to snuggle up in blankets and watch a movie with my family.
It is a perfect setup with my parents being teachers and us kids being in the same district, so when they have a snow day, I have a snow day.
With high school offering so many activities it is very easy to get caught up and sometimes it seems like you don’t see your family all week.
A snow day gives the opportunity to slow down, relax and just watch a movie with the people you love.
