Kyle Beauchamp took over this school year for LeAnne Youse as science teacher.

This year, Rose Hill High School hired a new physical science teacher, Kyle Beauchamp, who replaced Lee Ane Youse. She decided to retire after teaching science classes and for more than 20 years.

This year is going to be Beauchamp’s sixth year teaching overall. Before he started teaching at Rose Hill, he worked at Central High School in Saint Joseph, Missouri for five years.

It was just a good fit. We wanted to move back here to this area, getting closer to family and all that,” Beauchamp said. “Mrs. Youse let me know that there was a position opening up, and I was very excited to apply and come back to work here.”

Beauchamp likes that RHHS is a small school and that there is not a really big number of people here, allowing for more friendships to take place and for people to know each other better.

“I love the warm, small-school atmosphere. It’s possible to get to know most or all of the people here,” said Beauchamp. “The only challenge has been putting up with all of the bad jokes Mr. Grier makes.”

Beauchamp is very thankful to be working here and he has high hopes for his career at RHHS. He is excited about what is happening at Rose Hill High School and hopes to become a large part of it.
