The 2023-24 winter sports season recently wrapped up with multiple athletes bringing home all-league honors and accolades.
On the boys basketball side, seniors Cooper Nace and Jace Evans brought home first team all-league honors, after a 12-9 record.
“It felt great to be recognized for all of my hard work and dedication,” said Evans.
Along with Nace and Evans, Cheyenne Martin was a second-team all-league athlete on the girl’s side.
“It feels great to receive this award after all the hard work we put in throughout the season. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the amazing support system the team and coaches provided me with. It’s extra special to receive it senior year as my dedication throughout the years has shown through” Martin.
After the excitement of winning the 4A State Wrestling as a team, the Rocket wrestlers also brought home all-league honors.
Samson Whitted, Trent Richwine, Sebastian Bentley, Adam Bilby, Johnny Leck, Damon Ingram, Nate Poss, Rhett Briggs, and Cole Rogers were first team all-league selections.
Second-team all-league selections included Tyren Emberson, Leven Jones, and Cade Culbertson.
“It felt great to accomplish another goal of mine and to be recognized for my hard work,” said Ingram.
