Rose Hill High School hired Luke Claar as the assistant principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
Claar is well-versed on the subject of education, since he was a teacher for 23 years and an administrator for ten.
“I started in administration at Field Kindley HS in Coffeyville as an assistant principal,” said Claar.
He then moved on to become the assistant principal at El Dorado Middle School and then returned to Coffeyville to be the principal at Roosevelt Middle School.
“Most recently, I was the principal at Cheney MS,” said Claar.
While being excited for many things as he comes to Rose Hill, Claar said he is most excited to get to know the students, staff, and families.
Claar also said he is excited to experience being a part of a school that takes pride in their students both in and out of the classroom.
“Building relationships is the best part of education,” said Claar.
When he gets to Rose Hill, Claar is ready to build strong relationships, maintain high expectations, and provide students with support in every way he can.
“I believe education is about helping every student find success,” said Claar.
