This semester Rose Hill High School has telephones in every classroom, which are a continued part of the remodeling of the building.
“Teachers need phones in the room to be able to communicate with the office for safety purposes, and to be able to call parents and guardians,” said principal Aaron Jackson.
The phones are a great benefit for the teachers to communicate with each other.
“Sandefur, and our tech department, set them up over Christmas break. It took a week and a half to run the lines and install the phones,” said Jackson.
Sandefur also installed other pieces of communication technology that were a significant upgrade over what the school had before.
“When Sandefur installed the new intercom, bell and warning systems, the old phones were out-dated and needed to be replaced,” Jackson said. “They are needed in classrooms for safety purposes, and for confidentiality when teachers call parents/ guardians.”
