Rose Hill High School has a new venue for the 2026 Prom.

“This year’s prom venue is the 9th Floor Club & Venue. It’s in Wichita, and located in the downtown area off of Broadway and Douglas,” said Prom sponsor, Emily Forgie.

Forgie explained some updates to look forward to involving an increase in spacing and room. 

“There should be more space for tables and chairs. We were always limited on seating at the Ville to be able to provide a bigger dance space,” Forgie said. “The staff at the venue helps with the decorating and tear down after prom. This takes a lot of pressure off of the juniors the day of prom. It’s always a challenge decorating around everyone’s busy schedule.”

On the other hand, one of the most substantial downgrades for the new venue location is the distance.

“It is a further drive than Andover, I don’t think anything could beat the convenience of having the prom so close to Rose Hill,” Forgie said.

Forgie admitted that her respective favorite part of the relocation is the beautiful view.

“My personal favorite part of the venue is it has an amazing view of the city of Wichita. The majority of the venue is windows, when the sun sets, we’ll be able to see all the city lights,” said Forgie.
